One of three6ixty’s passion projects with the Jewish Federation, this historic senior center on the Venice Boardwalk will see new life with a rehab and addition, transforming a one-story brick box into a modern three-story facility with new space for administration offices, a state-of-the-art kosher kitchen, views of the ocean, and a residential unit for on-site managers. The project required Specific Plan approval, various zoning requests to accommodate non-conforming conditions, and was categorically exempt from CEQA review. Three6ixty conducted strategic community outreach, receiving unanimous approval from the Venice Neighborhood Council, and took the project through the local planning and California Coastal Commission permit processes and is providing project management through the local permitting and construction phases as well.
